resources
You can browse, search, contribute and bookmark a wide variety of educational resources. The resources are organized by topic. The types of resource include presentations, experiments, exercises, field trips, web quests, quizzes, questions, self-paced courses, classes, curricula, factoids, books, references, blogs, videos, audio/podcasts and images.
topics
When you click on a topic, its picture and overview are displayed and its subtopics are listed. In addition, its associated resources are shown in a search results section. Here is the topic page for Science. You can scroll through the search results or narrow down the search criteria and redo the search. You can use the 'Change Picture', 'Edit description' and 'Suggest subtopic' buttons to improve the topic page. We moderate all community improvements to ensure quality.
subtopics
As you navigate down through the topic hierarchy, we display a list of links to every topic in the hierarchy. Here is the topic page for Astronomy, which is a subtopic of Science.

search
To search for resources based on various criteria, either click on the search tab in the Resources section or press the advanced search icon in the top-right corner of each page. This example shows how you'd search for all Astronomy resources that contain the phrase 'dark'.
Here are the search results.
contributing
To contribute a resource, click the 'Contribute' tab. Then click on the type of resource you wish to contribute. We support a wide variety of resources including many popular third-party widgets. In most cases, you can contribute a link to an existing resource on the web or upload the content and we'll host it for free.
Here's the form you would see if you selected the 'Experiment' resource type. Just fill in the fields and press 'Save'. Then when everything is to your satisfaction, press the 'Publish' option and it becomes available to the rest of the community.
